Job summary

Millennium Physician Group seeks a detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialist to support risk adjustment coding and documentation initiatives. You will analyze coding trends, perform retrospective chart reviews, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes, and collaborate with providers to improve accuracy and capture.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, 1+ year Medicare Risk Adjustment experience, CPC credential, and proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 1+ year Medicare Risk Adjustment experience or clinical coding exposure.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of clinical standards and office-based procedures.
• Experience with Excel/Word/Outlook and EMR systems.

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coding Specialist to support accurate risk adjustment coding and documentation initiatives. In this role, you will analyze coding and documentation trends, perform retrospective chart reviews and audits, assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, and collaborate with providers and operational teams to improve coding accuracy and risk capture. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, self-directed, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of coding quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.

• Knowledge of clinical standards, preventive care, and office-based procedures.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC or equivalent).
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Record systems.

Physical & Work Requirements

Primarily sedentary with occasional standing, walking and lifting (up to 25 lbs). Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and standard office environment tolerance.

Compensation Range

$20.90 to $31.35 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
