Job summary

Spero Health, Inc. is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join our integrated care team. You will review medical documentation and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, support denial management, and help ensure coding compliance across departments.

You will work in a collaborative environment to identify coding trends, assist in audits, and communicate with providers to clarify documentation as needed. This role supports our mission of delivering comprehensive, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum coding experience.
• CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medical Coding and Auditing: Review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes; ensure accuracy and compliance; identify trends; perform audits; query providers for clarification.
• Denial Management: Monitor denial reports; analyze trends; research root causes; submit timely appeals or corrections; maintain records of outcomes and statuses.
