Quartz Health Solutions seeks a Medical Coding Intern to join our Coding Integrity Unit from June through December 2027 in Madison, WI. You will gain hands-on experience, support coding policy development, and collaborate with professionals to improve coding accuracy.

The role offers hands-on exposure to CPT/ICD-10, HIPAA compliance, and health information workflows, with a structured mentorship, workshops, and a retreat to kick off the program.

Qualifications

• Interest in Medical Coding as a career path and related studies.
• Ability to commit to 20 hours per week from June to December 2027.
• Must be within 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and travel to HQ Jun–Aug.
• Completion of CPT and ICD-10 Coding coursework by internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coding logic denial reviews and analysis.
• Research CPT, ICD-10, and coding guideline updates.
• Support development, maintenance, and review of coding policies.
• Review unlisted procedure codes and assist coding software administration.
• Participate in coding-related research projects and regulatory compliance.
