Job summary

TEKsystems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Medical Coding Auditor to conduct independent physician coding reviews, ensuring accuracy and CMS compliance. This hybrid role requires 1-2 days in the office weekly and offers direct placement with TEKsystems.

You will use MDaudit to document findings, educate providers, and support audit readiness across the organization. Candidates should have CPC/CCS certifications and 5 years coding experience including auditing.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years’ experience in coding including two (2) years of auditing/billing compliance experience.
• CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or CPMA certifications required.
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10.
• Experience with corporate compliance programs and audits.
• Strong communication and education skills for provider training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent physician coding and auditing reviews to assess documentation and codes.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 guidelines and internal policies.
• Utilize MDaudit software to complete audit documentation and reporting.
• Analyze trends and identify compliance risks with corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver physician coding education materials and training.
• Present audit findings to providers and leadership; support education programs.
