Medical Coding and Billing Instructor

Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your expertise to deliver competency-based education that aligns with CHCP’s curriculum and instructional standards
- Design and implement instructional plans that foster student engagement and mastery of course objectives
- Provide structured, learning-centered instruction that supports students in achieving pre-defined exit competencies
- Promote a culture of lifelong learning, mutual respect, and ethical responsibility among students
- Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams to optimize the learning environment and ensure compliance with institutional policies
- Deliver competency-based education that aligns with CHCP’s curriculum model and instructional delivery standards
- Develop and execute instructional plans that meet course competencies and support lesson objectives
- Provide structured instruction that fosters student achievement and establishes clear performance criteria
- Create an engaging classroom and blended learning environment conducive to student involvement and success
- Offer timely and comprehensive feedback to students, including mid-term evaluations and opportunities for improvement
- Exhibit flexibility in teaching style and schedule to promote student success and engagement
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and compliance with academic policies
- Participate in faculty meetings, departmental discussions, and campus-wide initiatives
- Contribute to campus service by engaging in special projects or committees annually
- Integrate professional and industry experience into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes
- Attend Program Advisory Committee meetings annually to provide insights into curriculum and course delivery
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support institutional goals and objectives
Qualifications
- Certificate, degree, or post-secondary education in a relevant field, meeting state (TWC) and accreditation requirements
- One to two years of instructional experience, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
- Certification, registry, and/or licensure in the field of instruction as recognized by state regulatory and accrediting organizations
- Membership in a professional association related to the area of instruction is preferred
