Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate Program in Medical Coding & Billing required.

Responsibilities

• Codes data from patient records using computerized coding systems.
• Abstracts data from medical records for accurate statistical compilation.
• Identifies and verifies medical conditions and coding compliance.
• Corrects coding errors as needed in accordance with regulations.
• Responds to physician inquiries regarding coding assignments.
