Now Hiring: Coding Educator (Facility Outpatient – Oncology Specialty)

Job Description:

Job Title: Coding Educator

Location: 100% Remote/ Work from Home

Pay rate: $30/hr

Part-Time (20 hrs/week, 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM ET)

We’re seeking a Certified Coding Educator with a passion for training, auditing, and driving excellence in Facility Outpatient medical coding – especially in Oncology.

What You'll Do:

• Design and deliver coding education for certified coders.
• Conduct daily audits and provide quality feedback.
• Monitor productivity (6 charts/hour) and quality (98%) benchmarks.
• Train and sign off new coders during their 30-day onboarding.
• Stay up to date with CMS, AHA, AHIMA, and AAPC guidelines.
• 6+ years of healthcare coding experience (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
• 2+ years of auditing/training experience in a professional or facility outpatient setting
• Strong knowledge of oncology coding practices and systems like Cerner, 3M, Optum CAC, Mosaiq (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and experience in training delivery (Zoom, etc.)
