Job Overview:
A prominent law firm specializing in transportation law seeks a skilled Medical Causation Litigation Attorney to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This position offers the opportunity to focus on medical causation and biomechanical analysis in personal injury litigation, specifically related to trucking, bus, and aviation accidents. The role involves analyzing complex injuries, working with retained experts, taking expert depositions, and drafting motions in limine related to experts. It is a hybrid, full-time position with flexibility, requiring some in-office presence for training and resource access.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duties:

  1. Analyze complex injuries and their medical causation.
  2. Draft detailed medical causation reports based on research and expert analysis.
  3. Collaborate with retained experts to assess and explain medical and biomechanical issues in injury cases.
  4. Take depositions of adverse medical and biomechanical experts.
  5. Draft motions in limine related to expert testimony and evidence.
  6. Conduct extensive legal research to support litigation strategies.
  7. Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship in a collaborative environment.
  8. Meet a 1,400 billable hour annual target.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctorate degree (preferred)
  • Experience: 4 years of personal injury litigation experience
  • Certifications: State Bar Admission in CA, KY, OH, or PA (required)
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, experience with expert depositions, ability to work independently and as part of a team, curiosity, organizational skills, and ability to meet billable hour targets.
