Munson Healthcare is seeking a Medical Business Associate / Receptionist in Charlevoix, MI. This full-time role (day shift, 32 hours weekly) supports scheduling of OR and endoscopy procedures and acts as the first contact for patients and families.

You will collect and verify patient and insurance information, enter data into the registration system, and book appointments while greeting patients professionally by phone and in person. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED. Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or similar healthcare role.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and schedule operating room (OR) and endoscopy procedures.
• First point of contact for patients and their families.
• Obtain/verify all required patient and insurance information and enter into the registration system.
• Schedule patient appointments including return visits, referrals, and diagnostic procedures.

A Day inthe Life

• The Medical Business Associate (Receptionist) position will include responsibility for coordinating and scheduling operating room (OR) and endoscopy procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients, providers, and appropriate departments.
• As a Medical Business Associate(Receptionist), you are the first point of contact for patients & their families. Your personal interaction and efficiency start the path for an exceptional experience of care, wellness, and healing.

You will obtain/verifyall required patient and insurance informationand enterthe information into the registration system in an accurate manner.

You will schedulepatient appointments which may include return office visits, referrals, diagnostic testing/procedures.

You will set the tone forthe visit! You will greetpatients professionally in person and over the telephone and respond effectively to patients and their families.

What’s Required - Specialist

High school graduate or GED. Associate Degree Preferred

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or working in a similar healthcare role.

Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.

What’s Required - Associate

High school graduate or GED

• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required. Usually achieved by previously working with the public with minimal supervision.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
