Job summary

Sleep Health MD in Watsonville, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Supervisor to lead daily billing operations across Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Clara County. Strong background in medical billing and coding required; Spanish-speaking preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate degree or online program in medical billing and coding OR at least 5 years prior experience in general medical billing knowledge.
• Computer and internet literate with proficiency in Office 365, Outlook, and Office Suite.
• Intermediate level internet navigation skills, including the ability to manage multiple tabs and windows simultaneously.
• Strong keyboarding and typing skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in an organized manner.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance plan guidelines (PPO, HMO, EPO, POS, etc.) related to SHMD services. Training will be provided.
• Proficiency in filing appeals and following up on claims.
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing is preferred. Training will be provided.
• Experience with Athena (EMR) is preferred.
• Maintain a professional, positive attitude when interacting with patients and co-workers.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
