Job summary

Prevounce Health seeks a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support our growing healthcare operations in Indianapolis. You will accurately enter charges, review information, submit claims, and help with billing-related issues to ensure timely reimbursement while complying with Medicare and payer guidelines.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical billing experience, familiarity with NextGen, and exposure to RPM/CCM billing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, charge entry, claims processing, or a related healthcare revenue cycle role.
• Working knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of Medicare billing guidelines and requirements.
• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
• Ability to identify and resolve billing errors independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter medical charges with complete patient, provider, and service data.
• Review, prepare, and submit medical claims per payer requirements.
• Verify CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes for accuracy.
• Apply Medicare guidelines for RPM/CCM services.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies to minimize delays.
• Review patient insurance information and eligibility.
• Use NextGen and other billing platforms to maintain records.
• Meet daily billing and charge entry targets with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve documentation issues.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and payer guidelines.
