Cumberland Healthcare is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to work in the Business Office with an emphasis on Medicare billing. The role involves preparing and submitting claims to insurers for reimbursement and handling related data entry.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays. Ideal candidates have prior insurance billing experience, CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge, strong communication skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with insurance billing required, with Medicare/MAP knowledge a plus.
• Strong CPT and ICD-10 coding familiarity and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to work with insurers and patients.

The medical biller is responsible for preparing and submitting insurance claims to insurance companies and other payers for reimbursement. They are also responsible for data entry in relation to the billing process. Our Medical Billers enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.
