Job summary

Northeast Community Clinic in Alhambra, CA is seeking a Medical Biller stationed at the administration office to support claim adjudication by reconciliation. This full-time, non-exempt role may require some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include submitting claims and encounters to health plans, posting remittance advice and EOBs, organizing superbills, coordinating with clinic staff to obtain necessary information, and generating reports. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook skills required.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Knowledge of Medi/Cal reimbursement guidelines preferred.
• Travel up to 10% required.

Responsibilities

• Submit and generate claims to health insurance plans weekly, in paper and electronic form.
• Submit and generate encounters to IPA/health plans weekly, paper and electronic.
• Post Remittance Advice and Explanation of Benefits, both paper and electronic weekly.
• Organize superbills (file, scan, label, etc.).
• Interface with billing/clinic staff and providers to obtain required information for entering/billing/rebilling a claim.
• Generate/re-generate superbills and various reports/invoices.
• Adjudicate all claim types.
• Provide back-up support to clinical biller and QA superbills for data accuracy.
