Qualifications

• Professional medical billing and claims management
• Rehabilitative and/or habilitative healthcare billing experience preferred
• ABA and/or Speech Therapy billing knowledge
• Medicaid and commercial insurance familiarity
• Insurance verification and eligibility processes
• denial management and appeals experience
• Accounts receivable and aging claim monitoring
• Corrected claims and resubmissions experience
• Electronic medical records and billing systems proficiency

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate and timely claims for ABA and Speech Therapy services
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and coverage requirements
• Review claims for CPT/HCPCS codes, units, provider information, and authorization requirements
• Monitor claim status and follow through to payment or resolution
• Review EOBs/ERAs and identify payment discrepancies
• Work denied, rejected, underpaid, and outstanding claims
• Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, appeals, and supporting documentation
• Monitor accounts receivable and aging and actively work balances
• Identify billing trends and communicate issues to leadership
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to resolve issues
