Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare/medical office software.
  • Experience in healthcare billing, adjustments, denial management, and remittance research preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely billing and rebilling of claims within third-party billing systems.
  • Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and billing discrepancies.
  • Research payer information and patient identification updates as needed.
  • Maintain and update patient demographic information within EMR systems.
  • Support revenue cycle objectives through efficient task completion and attention to detail.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, facility staff, insurance payers, and third-party vendors.
  • Participate in training initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Department: Financial – Revenue Cycle Management

Location: Gilbert, AZ (Onsite with Thursday Work-From-Home)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts + 30-minute lunch

Compensation: $24–$26 per hour

About The Role

MOGEL, on behalf of a healthcare technology company focused on proactive patient care through advanced analytics and real-time insight, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing operations, claims processing, denial resolution, and overall support of revenue cycle functions that contribute to the organization’s financial performance.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and experienced in healthcare billing processes, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service to patients, healthcare partners, and internal teams. This position offers flexibility through both fully remote and hybrid work options, depending on candidate location and business needs.

The Billing Specialist reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager and supports the organization through high-quality task execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting billing operations in the following states is preferred but not required: California, Oregon, South Carolina, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
