Quality of Life Health Services in Alabama is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to process insurance claims and serve as a liaison between our corporation and third-party payers to ensure timely processing.

You will post payments from Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and private pay, handle billing questions, input data for hospital claims, resolve denials and participate in internal reporting while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of experience in processing third party claims is strongly preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains confidentiality of patients and corporate information;
2. Posts Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance, and Private Pay payments;
3. Interacts with patients over insurance or billing questions;
4. Inputs data for hospitalization hospitalized patient claims;
5. Communicates with internal and external medical practices for the purpose of claims resolutions;
6. Makes corrections and resubmits denied claims;
7. Provides information for internal and corporate reports.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Two or more years of experience in processing third party claims is strongly preferred.
3. Must have basic computer skills.
4. Proficiency with business machines is preferred (computers, calculators, telephones, etc.).
