West Coast Infectious Diseases is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Florida to ensure accurate billing, maximize reimbursement, and support the billing department. You will handle insurance verification, posting payments, and follow up with payers to resolve claims.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of medical billing experience with coding and familiarity with HMO/PPO plans, Medicare/Medicaid rules, and HIPAA compliance. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience with coding, auditing, HMO and PPO familiarity.
• Customer service driven with excellent telephone skills.
• Basic Medicare and Medical Terminology knowledge.

Job Description

Professional to provide billing functions and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and maximum financial return; including insurance verification, payment posting,, collection/reimbursement services, appeals and follow up. Team Member must effectively communicate with clients, reimbursement/ support vendors, and other external entities, while adhering to all client, state and federal guidelines. Team Member in this role is expected to have an overview of Medicare and Medicaid billing compliance, reimbursement tracking; maintains knowledge of billing codes, rules, and regulations. The ability to work effectively with all types of people and resolve issues is critical while patient and client satisfaction is essential.

• Resolve billing concerns
• Contact insurance companies to resolve unpaid claims.
• Assist in other areas as necessary to maintain an effective billing department.
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Medical Billing Specialist with minimum of 2 years of medical experience specifically working with coding, auditing, HMO and PPO; and are familiar with Medicare/Medicaid. Ideal candidates will be customer service driven with excellent telephone skills, Basic Medicare, Basic Medical Terminology, Intermediate Medical Billing, Intermediate ICD-9-CPT-4, Intermediate ICD-9, Basic HIPAA Compliance-Patient Privacy Rule, Basic MS Word, Basic MS Excel, Basic MS PowerPoint
