Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Support Specialist for the CPAP Centralized Care Team to join our Rotech team remotely. In this role, you will support customers of the Support Center, including patients, referral sources, and employees, by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement. Your primary responsibility will be managing new order intake, ensuring accuracy with clinical, billing, and care-related information and processing. You will be the first point of contact for new customers.

  1. Provide support via phone, fax, and data entry, including patient and referral information, order processing, and documentation.
  2. Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks.
  3. Collect co-pays and deductible amounts.
  4. Obtain authorizations and qualification documentation.
  5. Develop and maintain knowledge of products, services, and regulations.
  6. Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data entry.
  7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and services.
  8. Provide product/service information and education to customers.
  9. Perform quality assurance reviews for medical necessity and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of related experience, preferably in medical billing or customer service.
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices, insurance reimbursement, and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and work independently or in a team.
Physical and Technical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs, sit for extended periods, and use standard office equipment and computer applications.
