Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to work from our Woodbury, MN corporate office with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule and potential remote work after full training. You will follow up on delinquent insurance and patient balances, communicating with payers and care teams to secure payments while upholding HIPAA rules.

The role requires 4+ years of third party billing experience, knowledge of payer policies, and proficiency with medical software.

Qualifications

• 4 years of third party billing experience in a business office setting is required.
• Extensive knowledge of third party and government payer practices and requirements.
• Experience with medical software (PM, EMR, EHR).

Responsibilities

• Follow up with delinquent unpaid insurance and patient balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, medical office staff, and third-party agencies to collect balances.
• Provide support for Customer Service and ensure HIPAA compliance.
