Job summary

Central Florida Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Billing and Coding Specialist to manage billing, coding, posting, and submission of clean claims to insurers to maximize revenue. You will verify diagnoses and procedures with providers and support education on proper billing practices.

The role requires accuracy in ICD, CPT, HCPCS coding, and the ability to resolve claim denials in collaboration with payers and providers.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Coding Certificate (CPC or CCS)
• Two years’ experience using ICD coding, CPT, HCPCS or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess documentation to support accurate ICD, CPT and HCPCS codes for maximum reimbursement
• Review records to ensure proper attachments, signatures, and documentation
• Assign/correct codes; query providers for clarification as needed
• Generate and process claims to payers per Medicare/Medicaid policies
• Research and correct denied claims and follow up on denials and payments
• Review claims in holding status for timely processing
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and conduct trainings
