Job summary

American Medical and Rehab is seeking a Billing Specialist to support office staff, monitor bills and claims, and help run the local business unit. You will participate in strategy discussions, manage policy implementation, and act as a thoughtful decision-maker to help profits grow.

The role requires bills tracking, insurance denials management, and coordination with staff. A background in DMEPOS billing is a plus and strong Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Interpret policies and procedures in written and verbal responses.
• Experience with medical billing processes and KPI tracking; track aging and denials.

Responsibilities

• Participate in billing and track invoices daily.
• Coordinate with all office staff and assist with special projects.
• Manage insurance contracts including new and renewals; Medicare accreditation support.
• Maintain licenses and certifications for the business; confirm orders to bill.
• Track aging for Medicare/Medicaid/Private Insurance/TRICARE and monitor denials.
• Assist the office manager as needed.
