Job summary

Sun Life Health in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable/Billing specialist to manage aging receivables, post payments, and follow up on claims. The role supports denial management and daily reconciliation to ensure accurate banking records.

Working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), at least five years in medical office billing, and coursework in medical terminology and coding.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency.
Five years experience in a Medical Office billing environment.
Courses in medical terminology and coding.
Experience in problem solving and analytical skills.
Computer literate.

Responsibilities

Manage AR using the practice management system to reduce aging: focus on >61 days and high-dollar accounts.
Post all insurance payments to patient accounts in the system.
Run daily reports and reconcile with bank deposits; report discrepancies.
Update demographics per E.O.B. information when needed.
Identify improvements and recommend changes to the Business Office Manager.
Monitor claims to ensure payment at 0–60 days; rebill unacknowledged claims.
Participate in corrections and rebilling with billing staff as needed.
