Job summary

El Dorado Surgery Center is seeking a Medical Biller for a temporary 2–3 month, 32-hour workweek in Placerville, CA. This in-person role handles the entire AR cycle and requires attention to denials and appeals.

You will interact with patients, insurers, providers, and coders, using Waystar, Vision, Epic and Excel to ensure accurate claims submission, processing, and posting.

Qualifications

• Prior medical billing experience required.
• Experience with denials and appeals essential.
• Familiarity with Waystar, Vision, Epic and Excel preferred.

Job description

This is a temporary, two to three-month 32hr/week position, with the possibility to transition into a longer-term part-time opportunity. The current schedule is Tuesday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

The Medical Biller is an in-person role responsible for the entire AR cycle. They must ensure claims are submitted, processed and posted accurately and efficiently. To accomplish this, the medical biller must communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers and medical coders. The medical biller must navigate the various regulations to follow up on unpaid or denied claims and provide updates to both patients and healthcare staff.

The successful candidate will have previous medical billing experience and in particular, experience in working with denials and appeals, Waystar, Vision, Epic and Excel.
