Job summary

PROSPER HEALTH AND BEHAVIORAL CARE is seeking a Medical Biller to join our team. You will work with clients, answer billing questions, and process insurance forms for private, Medicaid, and Medicare plans.

You will collect necessary documentation from clients and coordinate with physicians' offices and hospitals to obtain records. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service, and comfort with phone-based work.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical billing and/or coding, preferably in mental health.
• Strong customer service skills and communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with processing insurance claims for private, Medicaid, and Medicare plans.
• Collect and file necessary forms and signatures for billing.
• Navigate billing landscape with patients, obtaining records when needed.
• Coordinate with physicians' offices and hospitals to obtain charge information.
• Enter billing data accurately into the system and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform follow-ups on payments and client inquiries as required.
• Answer phones and route messages while providing helpful information.
