Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller in East Haven, CT to scrub claims, correct denials, and ensure coding compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. Ideal candidates will have Epic experience, FQHC and Behavioral Health exposure, and Medicare follow-up proficiency.

This role requires accuracy, independent work, and collaboration with providers and billing staff. The position offers hourly pay in the 19–24 USD range, commensurate with experience, and requires

Qualifications

• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• FQHC experience required.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Medicare follow up proficiency strongly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Candidates must be US based and will not require sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review and scrub medical claims for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Correct coding denials by analyzing the reasons for denial and making necessary adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing staff to resolve coding issues and improve processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, regulations, and best practices.
• Generate reports on coding denials and trends to assist in identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to staff on coding practices and procedures as needed.
