Job summary

Advanced Pain Solutions, LLC is seeking a diligent Medical Biller & Coder to manage accurate coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) and timely billing for both the medical practice and ASC services in Fresno, CA. You will ensure correct reimbursement, reduce denials, and maintain portal access and compliance.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reviewing claims, and collaborating with providers and payers to resolve discrepancies. EHR experience and relevant CPC/COC/CCS credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and coding for physician practices and ambulatory surgery centers.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial insurance, and workers' compensation billing.
• Familiarity with pain management, interventional procedures, and surgical coding.
• Experience with electronic health records and practice management systems; CPC/COC/CCS preferred.
• CPC/COC/CCS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS for office visits and procedures.
• Review documentation for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Submit clean claims to Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial carriers.
• Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances; follow up on denials.
• Monitor aging reports and assist with appeals when needed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements.
