Job summary

Resourcing Edge in Mountain View, CA seeks a Medical Biller to oversee the billing workflow, ensure accurate documentation, and support ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, and NCCI edits and the Appeals process. You will prepare and review monthly reports and collaborate with staff to resolve discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of healthcare billing experience, strong computer skills, and exceptional attention to detail to ensure timely, accurate billing and smooth denial

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with NCCI edits and the Appeals process.
• Experience with medical billing in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research the physician's charge information needed to complete billing process.
• Code information about procedures performed and diagnosis on charge.
• Enter charge information into online entry program and produce billing.
• Process and distribute copies of billings according to office policies.
• Establish and recommend credit and collection policies.
• Follow up on accounts until balances are resolved or sent to collections.
• Assist with coding and error resolution, making adjustments to accounts as needed.
• Assist in processing of insurance claims, including MediCal/MediCare.
• Prepare disability claims in a timely manner.
