IEP Corp is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team in handling insurance claims from submission to follow-up. The role involves Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial carriers, and private pay accounts with strict adherence to HIPAA and payer guidelines.

The position requires 1–2 years of medical billing experience, proficiency with EHRs and billing software, and strong organizational skills to manage denials and reimbursements efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years medical billing experience preferred.
• Experience billing Medicare, Medicaid, managed care/HMO, and commercial plans required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on electronic and paper claims.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Ensure claims are coded accurately and meet payer requirements.
• Monitor claim status and resolve denials, rejections, and unpaid claims.
• Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
• Maintain documentation in billing system and patient accounts.
• Stay updated on Medicaid/Medicare and payer guidelines.
