Job summary

Sugarloaf Medical P.C. Internal Medicine & Primary Care is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our physician-owned practice. The role focuses on submitting claims, following up on unpaid claims, and managing denials while leveraging AI-assisted coding support to improve accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have CPC or CCS certification, at least two years of medical billing experience in outpatient/primary care, and strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge. Authorized to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years medical billing experience in outpatient/primary care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding; insurance claim processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Submit claims to insurance payers.
• Follow up on unpaid claims.
• Manage denials and appeals.
• Verify coding accuracy with AI tools.
• Handle patient billing inquiries.
• Produce revenue cycle reports.
