Job summary

Cardiac Solutions, a leading cardiology practice in the West Valley, is seeking an In Office Testing - Authorizations Coordinator. The role focuses on obtaining referrals from PCPs and authorizations from insurance companies for in-office testing, verifying insurance, and updating patient accounts.

This position typically requires mandatory overtime January through March and offers comprehensive benefits, including health coverage and retirement options, to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• One year of medical eligibility/referral/authorization experience.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical insurances and CPT/HCPCS terminology.

Responsibilities

• Verify Primary and Secondary insurance plans.
• Update patient registration in the practice management system.
• Contact health insurance for referral and authorization requirements.
• Review procedure orders to determine necessity of prior auth.
• Obtain authorization for in-office tests.
• Assist with internal emails and misc. tasks.
• Stay informed on changing authorization requirements for testing.
