Job summary

Golden Bear Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, seeks a full-time Authorization Coordinator for our Banner Ct. location in Modesto to manage medical authorizations and ensure timely submissions.

The role supports clinicians and patients by coordinating payer communications and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with preferred experience in medical offices or authorization processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with medical authorization processes/insurances preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage authorization dashboard to identify outstanding authorizations.
• Submit authorizations to payer/insurer with required documents.
• Follow up on submitted authorizations.
• Input authorizations into patient accounts.
• Communicate with referring MDs and treating therapists for missing information.
• Provide timely communication when authorization is not on file or denied.
• Scan/upload forms into patient charts.
• Maintain detailed notes in electronic records.
• Daily follow-up and completion of tasks.
• Obtain retro authorization as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
