Comprehensive Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assisting Instructor to deliver engaging instruction, develop curricula, and advise students to achieve learning outcomes.

The role emphasizes using adult learning principles, technology, and multimedia to train entry-level Medical Assistants for our nonprofit health system. The instructor will maintain attendance, provide feedback on assessments, and support program initiatives while expanding professional development

Formación

• Associate degree required in medical assisting or related field
• RMA/CCMA or RN/LVN licensure preferred
• 5 years experience in medical assisting or related healthcare field
• Teaching at an institute of higher education preferred
• Experience with an online LMS (Moodle, etc.) preferred
• Must be RMA or CCMA (CCMA preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Provide extensive orientation of incoming students on goals and requirements of the courses and industry
• Lecture daily in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical specialties, techniques and procedures
• Prepare curriculum and assist with revisions to materials and syllabi
• Post student grades daily and weekly
• Provide group and individual advising on academic issues and behavior issues
• Participate in program and student outcomes assessment
• Utilize technology and equipment appropriately
• Use varied teaching styles to accommodate diverse learners
• Monitor student progress and ensure achievement of learning outcomes
• Record and report academic progress to administration
• Maintain attendance records and communicate concerns to leadership
• Complete other administrative duties as assigned
• Support MA skill assessments and MA training as needed
• Maintain knowledge through continuing education in subject area and pedagogy

Associate's degree in medical assistant or related field

RMA/CCMA/CCMA Certification

5 years experience in Medical Assistant field

Teaching experience in higher education

CCMA certification through NHA or AAMA preferred
