POSITION SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiological Services Attendant. In this role, the successful candidate will assist X-Ray Technologists with preparing patients and exam areas for various radiologic examinations, maintain equipment and supply levels, and ensure cleanliness of exam rooms. The attendant receives guidance from the Manager/Supervisor and Lead X-Ray Technologist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Demonstrate knowledge of the organization's mission and core values and incorporate them into duties.
2. Assist with other duties as required, including answering phones, taking messages, administering surveys, etc.
3. Ensure exam rooms are stocked and tidy; change linen bags throughout the day and replenish linen and supplies as needed; clean rooms after each patient.
4. Demonstrate skill in using hospital and radiology information systems related to radiology.
5. Follow standard procedures to identify the correct patient, confirm identity, introduce oneself courteously, provide appropriate gown/shorts, assist with patient transfer if needed, and ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures. Recognize and follow isolation precautions when necessary.
6. Serve as a liaison between front desk, lead technologists, RNs, physicians, and patients. Escort patients from waiting areas to changing rooms and procedure rooms.
7. Prepare patients for procedures, gather and set up equipment and supplies according to departmental procedures, and notify Technologists of patient arrivals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience, including customer service with direct patient contact. Ability and knowledge of proper body mechanics for lifting patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Degree or the equivalent.
