Job Details

TrueCare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) for a temporary position covering a leave of absence. The role involves clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to gather medical information and confirm the purpose of the visit.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are stocked, neat, and clean.
  • Assist patients and medical staff during examinations and treatments.
  • Record medical history, vital signs, and test results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Perform laboratory procedures and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Administer treatments, injections, and immunizations following protocols.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain sterilization logs.
  • Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and healthcare workflows.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited school.
  • Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in healthcare-related courses.
  • At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Experience with EHR documentation.
  • Phlebotomy training is strongly preferred.
Additional Details

Pay range: $23.00/hr - $32.00/hr.
