Job Overview

Pacific Pain & Regenerative Medicine, a leading pain management clinic dedicated to helping patients manage chronic pain, is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Medical Assistant. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong administrative and customer service skills, and are passionate about patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Document patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR), including medical history, physical exams, procedures, treatments, patient education, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referral letters.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with minor procedures.
  • Manage front desk duties: scheduling, answering calls, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.
  • Utilize ChatGPT for documentation and report generation.
  • Use JotForm and other online tools effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries professionally and compassionately.
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and assist with translation as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
  • Experience in pain management settings is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal) is essential.
  • Strong computer skills: EMR, Google Suite, JotForm.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
