The Medical Assistant (MA) provides patient care at the appropriate skill level, supporting physicians and nursing staff, and ensuring quality customer service. They perform duties within their scope of practice under supervision, including assisting in procedures, patient documentation, and maintaining infection control protocols.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform duties within scope, operate diagnostic equipment, assist with wound care, administer non-intravenous medications, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and sterilize equipment.
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms, document care accurately, support patient care coordination, and respect patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain infection control, support standard procedures, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
  • BLS certification at time of hire or within 30 days
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, computer literacy, and good communication skills
  • Proof of immunity to certain diseases or vaccinations
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Bilingual abilities
Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift >35 lbs., stand for extended periods, operate equipment, and receive instructions
  • Ability to solve problems and handle exposure to communicable diseases

The hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, and retirement plans.
