Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a dedicated team that delivers high-quality patient care on a Monday–Friday schedule at the J Building (J2-2). You will support medication management, patient monitoring, and a range of clinical and clerical tasks in collaboration with clinicians and staff.

This role provides broad clinical exposure, hands-on patient care, and opportunities to grow within a world-renowned healthcare system that values teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (as designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee).
• Completion of a clinical externship (extensive clinical experience may be considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• Medical Assisting Certification (preferred).
• Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
