Tennova Healthcare at Turkey Creek Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care through clinical and administrative tasks under supervision. You will assist with procedures, prep rooms, and manage patient intake while ensuring efficient clinic operations and friendly service.

Ideal candidates completed an accredited Medical Assistant program with 0–1 year in a medical setting or externship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical record systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to provide exceptional service.
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.
• Effective time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive procedures and vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Conduct patient intake including reporting test results and triage.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Coordinate pre-registering, scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to patients and staff.
• Monitor supplies and equipment inventory.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
