Job Overview
UT Urgent Care Clinics have been providing medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN, and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care - Sevierville is seeking experienced, well-qualified Medical Assistants who are team players and comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families during visits, demonstrating sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
- Accurately record patient history, complete vital signs, assess basic patient condition, and report to the appropriate practitioner.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other direct patient care activities, such as applying splints, wound dressings, collecting and recording laboratory tests, and administering medications (oral and injectable).
Position Highlights
- Flexible Schedule: 36-hour work week, scheduled over 3 shifts, with optional overtime pay (1.5x).
- Clinic Hours: 12-hour weekday shifts (9AM-9PM) and 9-hour weekend shifts (9AM-6PM).
- Shift Differential: Up to $2.00 per hour.

Salary Range
- $17.00/hr - $22.00/hr, depending on experience.
- Shift differential up to $2.00 per hour.
Minimum Requirements
- Availability for 12-hour or 9-hour shifts, including weekends (no overnights).
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- GED or higher diploma required.
- Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA), or 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting.
