Job Overview

UT Urgent Care Clinics have been providing medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN, and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care - Sevierville is seeking experienced, well-qualified Medical Assistants who are team players and comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families during visits, demonstrating sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
  • Accurately record patient history, complete vital signs, assess basic patient condition, and report to the appropriate practitioner.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other direct patient care activities, such as applying splints, wound dressings, collecting and recording laboratory tests, and administering medications (oral and injectable).
Position Highlights
  • Flexible Schedule: 36-hour work week, scheduled over 3 shifts, with optional overtime pay (1.5x).
  • Clinic Hours: 12-hour weekday shifts (9AM-9PM) and 9-hour weekend shifts (9AM-6PM).
  • Shift Differential: Up to $2.00 per hour.

Salary Range

Minimum Requirements
  • Availability for 12-hour or 9-hour shifts, including weekends (no overnights).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • GED or higher diploma required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA), or 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting.
