Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a surgical office strongly preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records is required.
• Must have strong customer service and be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including organizing patient flow and preparing exam rooms.
• Documents patient history, charting, collecting specimens, relaying instructions to patients.
• Performs patient screening, documents history, medication reconciliation, and obtaining vitals; assists doctor with exams.
• Assist office coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments and other admin duties.
• Manage and update patient medical records, manage referrals and prior authorizations.
• Maintain inventory of clinical equipment and supplies, including ordering and restocking.
