Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
• Record patient data prior to each visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records as required by physicians.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and manage supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Respond to patient calls and alert nurses or physicians of abnormal vitals or important patient information.
• Collect inbound meaningful use data, such as flu documentation and initial height and weight.
• Print medication lists for patient review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant.

Physical Demands

The role requires a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. It involves standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are required, as well as the ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
