Harris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant for Harris Urology in Sylva, NC. This full-time role supports the clinical team with patient assessments, procedures, and documentation in a busy urology clinic.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification within 90 days, and preferred prior medical office experience. Strong communication and organization are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under provider supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor patient condition.
• Document patient care and maintain examination areas.
• Stock and clean equipment and medical supplies; troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform administrative duties: filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, patient registration.
• Complete tasks delegated by practice leads or Market Director.

Our team includes highly skilled Urology surgeons to provide exceptional, compassionate care. How You'll Contribute

A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of provider, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communication regarding changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 90 days of hire.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Previous medical office experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
