Schedule: 4-10's, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM with travel to Warwick

Role Overview

The Medical Assistant provides care to patients and their families through direct and telephone contact, following established standards. They coordinate with the care team to ensure seamless service, maximize efforts, and promote patient participation. They assist physicians and providers with clinical procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate clinical competence in patient care and assist MDs with procedures.
  2. Perform clinical duties within scope, adhering to department standards, policies, and protocols.
  3. Proactively address patient and family needs, communicating effectively and timely.
  4. Assist during exams and diagnostic procedures, demonstrating clinical competence.
  5. Perform authorized procedures such as vital signs, vision screening, and lab tests as directed.
  6. Prepare e-prescriptions for pharmacy processing as instructed.
  7. Inspect, clean, and prepare instruments and equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
  8. Process specimens for laboratory transport, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in Epic.

Qualifications
Required
  • Current Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification or ability to obtain within one year (training provided).
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
Preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with recent experience.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $24.42+ based on full-time employment, experience, and other factors. Benefits include a comprehensive package, recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k). All benefits are subject to eligibility.
