Job summary

This role requires a Medical Assistant certification with 1 year of experience (or 2 years MA) and BLS; some travel to adjacent ConvenientMD locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Education includes a high school diploma or GED and MA certification.
• MA certification with 1 year experience or 2 years MA experience.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required; CPR/ACLS online not accepted.
• Demonstrates compassion, patient focus and strong communication.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients in a welcoming, professional manner and provide information about medications and treatment options.
• Triages patients, takes vital signs, collects medical histories, phlebotomy, and assists with procedures.
• Document patient information in EHRs in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
