Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist providers, collect patient information, perform vital signs, and help maintain efficient patient flow while delivering a welcoming experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, BLS certification, and the ability to work a variety of shifts within 8:00 AM–10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at time of hire).
• Certification through AHA/ARC accepted or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history accurately.
• Record vital signs and perform point-of-care testing as needed.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory; support front desk tasks.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the medical record system.
• Communicate with patients and coordinate care with providers.
