The Medical Assistant role involves working in a fast-paced, paperless environment. Responsibilities include taking vitals, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and maintaining cleanliness. Our clinic handles mostly lower acuity cases, focusing on excellent patient care. Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays is preferred.

What You'll Do
  • Perform patient care tasks such as taking vitals, patient history, and triaging
  • Assist with procedures like incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care
  • Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages; run EKGs
  • Conduct lab tests including urinalysis, pregnancy tests, blood glucose, monospot, rapid strep, influenza, and HIV testing
  • Manage front desk duties as needed
  • Complete DOT training and certification for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests
About You
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or legal exemption with experience or certification)
  • Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification
  • Preferred: 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
