A Midwest dermatology company is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide support for dermatology providers. You will scribe and assist during procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate should have customer service experience, be detail-oriented, and preferably hold a Medical Assistant certification. Qualifications

Overview

As a full-time Medical Assistant, you are part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting dermatology providers by ensuring all patients receive high quality, efficient, and comprehensive care, while adhering to the practice’s standards and procedures. You will help communicate with and educate patients, and assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures. This position includes working at our Urbana and Gibson City offices.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for and support dermatology providers to ensure high quality, efficient, and comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate with and educate patients; assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures.
• Work at the Urbana and Gibson City offices.

Qualifications

• Pre-med and science graduates will benefit; previous experience in the medical field is a plus.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience and advanced proficiency with computers.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, initiative-taking with a passion for healthcare.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of Dermatology and/or Cosmetic Surgery experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant and scribing experience preferred but not required.
• EMR experience (preferably ModMed EMA or comparable software).
• CPR/BLS and Bloodborne Pathogen Certification preferred.
• Basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion, ensure HIPAA compliance, and communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors.
• Ability to work as a team member, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and perform well under pressure; be empathetic, detail-oriented, and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
