Job Summary:

Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assisting with patient and family education, and communication with the patient's healthcare team.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Allergy and Immunology care team at Monroe Carell evaluates and treats children with all types of allergy problems. We perform a thorough evaluation to determine your child's allergies. We also evaluate for immune disorders, when appropriate.

We conduct allergy skin testing for airborne allergy, testing and oral challenges for food allergy, testing and medication challenges for medication (drug) allergy and lung function testing. We have access to laboratory services and scheduling for CT scans or X-rays based upon need.

We provide consultation services with a physician referral. Or, call us to make an appointment for your child at our One Hundred Oaks location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs and supports patient flow as well as unit operations by maintaining supplies, equipment and unit environmental standards.
2. Facilitates identification of resources to meet patient healthcare needs.
3. Performs/assists with procedures according to organizational/departmental standards.
4. Collects and documents patient screening data for the healthcare team.
5. Assists with patient and family education.

1. 2. Clinical Competencies (Novice): Demonstrates sufficient fundamental proficiency to assist and perform clinical care including but not limited to vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, medication administration and point of care testing as directed by unit standards.
3. Environment of Care (Novice): Demonstrates sufficient fundamental proficiency with set up and maintenance of patient exam room, supplies and equipment.
4. Clinical Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Has limited experience or training working with clinical applications for patient documentation.
