Responsibilities

Key position for assisting physician with examination and care of patients on both campuses. Works collaboratively with physician to facilitate patient care and physician efficiency.

The compensation range for this role is $26.52 hourly.

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with New York State law on Salary Transparency. The listed range may not include bonuses, incentives, or other compensation forms. Several factors may influence compensation, including location, experience, education, credentials, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years medical assistant experience or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Practice experience preferred.
• Required Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Active physical exertion with standing or walking.
• Moderate speed and accuracy, excellent keyboarding skills for scheduling and electronic records.

Working Conditions

• Works in a clean, well-lit, ventilated facility with no routine hazards.
• Demonstrates physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work under pressure, organize, multi-task, and sometimes work irregular hours including evenings or weekends.
