Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Elizabethtown Medical Group. The MA will room patients, take vitals, perform phlebotomy and POC testing, administer injections, and conduct EKGs while handling related clerical duties.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, CMA/RMA eligibility, and BLS certification or be willing to obtain it within 6 months. The role supports Family Practice with pediatric and GI specialties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must sit for CMA/RMA certification within 90 days or already CMA/RMA.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals and reconcile medications.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs and Point-of-Care testing.
• Handle prior authorizations and patient messaging; assist with clerical duties.
